Diving Experience

The Diving Programm

Welcome aboard. Once you’ve stowed your gear and settled in, we’ll be making the 36-hour crossing to Cocos Island. Here’s where the magic begins! You’ll enjoy a sensational dive program. We do two dives in the morning at 8 AM and 11 AM and a third after lunch, around 2:30 PM. We practice sustainable diving, so all encounters with marine life reflect their natural behavior in their natural habitat.Following a thorough briefing from our dive masters, divers leave the mothership aboard custom built hard-hull fiberglass skiffs.

These boats are specifically designed for the diving conditions at Cocos Island, their twin 115HP engines and T-top roofs give a smooth ride even in rough weather. Each skiff travels to a different dive site, allowing everyone to enjoy the experience in small groups. On the way to and from the sites, we often stop to watch occasional dolphins, mantas, whales or a promising bait-ball, or we cruise some of the islands most beautiful waterfalls. Between dives, guests can relax on the sundeck, use the library, or just chill and watch movies. owards the end of the week we’ll visit the island for some amazing hiking and nature watching.

Prestigious testimonials

Incredible experience, marine life encountered during the trip far exceeded my expectations. Mantas, galapagos sharks, hammerheads and tiger sharks ensured an unforgetable week of diving :) First class food provided during the trip. Dive equipment (rented on board) and facilities on board were second to none. -- Declan Madigan"

National Park Fee (typically $70 per day, or $490 total)

(note: park fees are subject to change)

Possible fuel surcharge:

Due to the possible increase in the cost of oil, based on events in the past few years, the Undersea Hunter Group reserves the right to charge a US$200.00 per person Fuel Surcharge. This fee will be effective in the event that the diesel price published by Costa Rica's state owned refinery, RECOPE, reaches US$3.80 per gallon (US$1.00 per liter). We will verify the fuel index table 75 days prior to the departure date and if it is necessary to collect a fuel surcharge then we will inform the participants of the trip. The surcharge will be collected onboard.
